RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support the project team from the concept to the production and the installation at customer site.
  • Produce and verifies electrical schematics according to customer requirements using Engineering Design Tools such as Eplan, Elcad,  SeeElectrical.
  • Verifies that the design conforms to safety practices (CE), CSA, UL, CCC etc and customer specifications.
  • Supervises the construction and testing of product prototypes and/or packaging line assembly 
  • Analyzes methods and suppliers for cost reductions on assemblies and equipment
  • Estimates costs for designed products
  • Collaborates with other team members to obtain timely results
  • Documents designs so they can be adequately manufactured within the time and budget targets
  • Continuously improves product quality and process effectiveness.
  • Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all electrical components.
  • Develop I/O lists, cable schedules, and other essential design documentation to support the I/O based control units.
  • .Work closely with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical components and sensors into the mechanical design.
  • Collaborate with programmers to define I/O requirements and device communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the panel shop technicians and machine electricians during the build, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and debugging electrical systems on the shop floor and, occasionally, at customer sites.
  • Update and revise drawings to "as-built" status upon project completion.

 Solution Designer (Secondary Role)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist  in the design, and development of the vision, electrical, software and automation based elements of the solution here on-site in Goa.
  • Ensure proper understanding of customer requirements are established from the concept stage.
  • You will be tasked with generating documentation to GMP requirements (URS, FDS)
  • You will work with cross-functional teams – Mechanical, Electrical, Quality, Project Management & R&D teams to ensure full compliance with solution requirements.
  • Support Solution and Sales team for new Project Proposal Definition.
  • Supporting and conceptualizing New Solution Development.
  • Responsible for Determining product Design Feasibility with respect to Project / Customer Requirements.
  • Will serve as Technical SME for New/existing Existing customers
  • Support all Phases of the Project Delivery from Technical Solution Projects Scope clarity.
  • Responsible to Verify the Projects vs Scope of the Solution
  • Responsible for liaising with internal cross functional Team members such as Product, SME’s, Middleware etc to identify Risk for the solution to be Proposed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Instrumentation Engineering. 
  • 0-1 year of  experience working in a similar role.
  • Alternatively, better than a working knowledge and solid/proven experience working in Automation Systems design will be considered in lieu of an Electrical Engineering degree.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industrial control components (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, servo systems, sensors).
  • Basic understanding of Safety in Electrical Design.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred (Bonus Skill)

  • Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens) is a significant plus.
  • Knowledge of industrial network protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
