Python & .NET Software Developer 

SUMMARY

The Software Developer is expected to demonstrate strong technical skills and a desire to achieve technical and functional skills. The right candidate comes with the right balance of interpersonal skills  and technical skills; a team oriented collaborator focused on making great software designs come to life. Our ideal candidate would be strong in Python, but we recognize that good software practices, technical understanding and good problem-solving skills are language-independent. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work as part of an Agile SQUAD/team with a prioritized backlog.
• Under the leadership and technical supervision of the squad leader and technical architects, develop and maintain scalable solutions in Python and .NET, ensuring testability and maintainability.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs using Python and .NET following industry best practices.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Python and .NET development for other software developers and engineers.
• Actively participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide cross-functional support to colleagues on software-related issues.
• Build a strong understanding of the full technology stack (Python, .NET, database, and infrastructure), the software development methodology, and team-specific processes.
• Manage personal workload while adhering to team best practices and processes.
• Contribute to the entire software implementation process, including suggesting architectural improvements and business-driven enhancements.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Project Managers, Architects, and technical leads to understand business needs and translate them into efficient software design using Python and .NET technologies.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Operations teams to deploy solutions and meet service level and contractual requirements.
• Assist directly and indirectly in the continual hiring and development of technical talent.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant software technology certification.
• Hands-on experience in Python and .NET (C#) development, including backend services.
• Experience with web frameworks such as Django (Python) and ASP.NET Core (C#).
• Experience with REST API development, data access layers, and ORM frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software design principles and design patterns.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks for both Python (e.g., pytest, unittest) and .NET (e.g., xUnit, MSTest).
• Experience with data-intensive applications including ETL processes and integration layers.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and ORM tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
